Locally Committed
We are committed to a vibrant testimony to the life-changing power of Jesus in our local community through ministries of the church and partnership with local Christian outreaches.

Regionally Commissioned
Since it's inception, Living Word has felt called to plant churches. Rather than grow one large congregation, God gave us a vision to plant many smaller churches across the region. In 2006 we planted our first church, Crosspoint Church, into Crown Point, IN. This was an exciting first step into the reality of the vision that God had given us. Since then we have planted Mercy Hill into Munster, IN (2009) and Hope Church into Griffith, IN (2013).
Living Word belongs to a community of churches called Connect Fellowship of Churches. In short, the members of our family of churches:
- Connect in the WORD OF GOD. We share in the story of Jesus and the hope we have in the Gospel.
- Connect in FRIENDSHIP. We are relationally connected in meaningful and growing friendship for support, encouragement, and partnership.
- Connect in MISSION. We are stronger and more effective in sharing in the mission of God together both globally and locally.
